Partners in Education
Parents and teachers are partners in the education of their students. We want parents and families to come into our schools: to volunteer in the classrooms, to attend various activities both during and after school hours, and to resolve concerns. It is important to include parents in our decision-making. We have been doing some things, such as having parents on every one of our curriculum-selection committees, but I'd love to keep working to engage with parents. |
Communication
I try to attend every PTA and School Community Council meeting each month at each of the three schools I represent: Spring Creek, Provost, and Centennial. Additionally, I have children that attend Timpview, and so I attend those monthly PTA meetings as well. I love being there to learn what is happening in our schools, what is on the minds of the parents, and to share with them what we are working on as a school board.

I also send out regular email newsletters with updates regarding what we are working on as a board and district. If you would like to subscribe to those, click here.
